The parts fund
Donate parts
A parts fund to keep service trucks on the road and neighbors moving in the White Mountains.
A jump is $35. A battery is $140. The second number is the one that keeps a neighbor off the road for a month. The fund covers the part when the person on the call cannot, and the truck keeps moving.
Cash App and Venmo handles are set in the office and appear here as soon as they are. Until then, call (602) 845-0105 and we tell you where to send it.

Questions people ask
What does the parts fund pay for?
Parts, on calls where the person cannot cover them this week: a battery for a school-run car, a tire, a belt. Never labor, never fuel for the truck. Every dollar becomes a part on a neighbor’s car.
Is this a charity? Is it deductible?
No. Greasy Porcupines is a mechanic and a parts fund, not a registered nonprofit. Your donation is a gift to a neighbor, not a deduction.
Can I donate parts instead of money?
Yes, and often that is better. Good used tires, a jump pack, a battery under warranty you no longer need. Log it on the form and we arrange a pickup.
Who decides where the money goes?
Alex, on the call, when someone says the number is a problem. There is no application. If you want to know what your gift bought, say so on the form and we text you.
