This is home. Lakeside to Pinetop is inside the ten free miles on a jump, and most of the town is a fifteen-minute drive from the truck.
0 to 6 miles from Lakeside. Prices are the floor. We set a fair number with you.
Pinetop-Lakeside is a town of driveways on dirt, cabins on side streets the plow visits last, and two highways that carry everyone: White Mountain Boulevard through the middle and SR 260 to Show Low and east toward Hon-Dah. We know which side streets a two-wheel-drive truck can take in a storm and which ones mean a walk-in with the jump pack.
Half our winter calls are cold-soak batteries in cabin driveways: a car that sat a week while the owner was in the Valley, or a second car that only moves on weekends. The other half are flats from the chip-seal and forest-road pins, and lockouts at the lakes.
Summer is different. Visitors on the Boulevard with a boat trailer and a wheel bearing, overheated SUVs that climbed from Phoenix with low coolant, and the first-of-the-season RV that sat all winter and now will not start.
Roads and what goes wrong on them
- White Mountain Boulevard Shoulder is narrow through town; stay in the car and we work from the truck side. Lockouts at the grocery lots and the lakes are our most common summer call.
- SR 260 west of town The grade toward Show Low finds tired brakes. A soft pedal or a hot wheel on the way down is a stop-and-call, not a drive-on.
- Cabin side streets Cold-soak batteries after a week unattended. Unplowed streets may mean a short walk with the jump pack; tell us when you call.
- Forest roads off 260 and Porter Mountain Road Pins and sidewall cuts on the graded roads. Graded is fine; rutted two-tracks after a storm are usually a no.
