Mobile mechanic across the Navajo County White Mountains
Everything between Heber and the county line, on the pavement and on the graded roads off it. Mileage from Lakeside, quoted when you call, agreed before we roll.
15 to 45 miles from Lakeside. Prices are the floor. We set a fair number with you.
The White Mountains are big and the service trucks are few. We cover the Navajo County side: east on 260 past Hon-Dah to the Apache County line, west toward Heber-Overgaard, north on 77 toward Taylor and Snowflake, and the forest roads off each. Past that we can usually still come; the mileage just climbs and we say the number first.
Out here the failure modes are elevation and distance. Batteries cold-soak harder at 7,500 feet. Fuel gauges lie on the long climbs. Brakes that behaved in town fade on the descents. And a flat on a forest road at dusk is a different call than a flat on the Boulevard, so we ask more questions before we leave.
A pin is worth a thousand words. Share your location from your phone, or give us the forest road number and the nearest mile marker on 260.
Roads and what goes wrong on them
- SR 260 east toward Hon-Dah and McNary Long open stretches with pullouts. Mile markers matter. Deer at dusk; if you hit one, call us before you call a tow and we will tell you if it drives.
- SR 260 west toward Heber-Overgaard Remote, long grades, patchy signal. Give us the mile marker while you still have service.
- SR 77 north toward Taylor and Snowflake Wind and black ice on the open sections in winter. Spin-outs with a dead battery after the airbags fire are a call we get every year.
- Forest roads (FR 300, FR 224, Porter Mountain, and the rest) Graded surfaces are fine for the truck. Two-tracks, washouts, and anything past a locked gate are a no, and we say so when you send the pin.
