Fuel delivery and fluids on the road

The gauge said a quarter tank at Hon-Dah. It was lying. A couple of gallons gets you to a pump; we charge what it costs us and the miles.

At cost plus $3/mile · Prices are the floor. We set a fair number with you.

We bring enough fuel to reach the nearest station, not a full tank. Gasoline or diesel; say which. Diesel trucks that ran dry sometimes need the system primed before they will start again, and that is a mobile mechanic job at the hourly rate on top of the fuel.

Fluids are the same deal. Coolant, oil, brake fluid, washer fluid, and power steering fluid come off the truck at what we paid for them. If the reason you are low is a leak, we will show you where it is and tell you whether it is a drive-home or a tow.

Diesel exhaust fluid runs out at the worst time and the truck derates. We can bring a jug.

When you call, have this

  • Gas or diesel
  • Where you are, with the mile marker on 260 or 60
  • What light is on

Questions people ask

How much fuel do you bring?
Enough to reach a station, usually two to three gallons. You pay our cost for the fuel plus $3 a mile from Lakeside. There is no delivery fee on top.
My diesel will not start after running out.
Common. Air gets into the lines. We can prime the system on most trucks at the hourly rate. Tell us the year and engine when you call.
Can you bring coolant for an overheating car?
Yes, and we will find out why it was low before you drive on. A hose, a cap, or a water pump are all drive-home or tow decisions we make with you on the shoulder.
