Mobile brake service in Pinetop-Lakeside and Show Low

The long grade down 260 into Show Low cooks pads that were fine in the flat. If the pedal is soft, the wheel is hot, or it grinds, do not drive it to a shop. We come to you.

$35/hr per hour plus parts · Prices are the floor. We set a fair number with you.

Mountain brakes wear from the top down. A trip to the Valley and back is two long descents, and a set of pads near the end of its life will glaze or fade halfway down the hill. We check pad thickness, rotor condition, caliper slides, and fluid, and we tell you what is a now and what is a next-month.

Pads and rotors are a driveway job on nearly everything. Calipers, hoses, and a fluid flush too. We bleed with a pressure bleeder so the pedal comes back firm. Parts at cost, labor by the hour, and the old parts stay in a box for you to see.

Trailers get the same attention. If you tow a boat to the lake or a camper up from Phoenix, your electric trailer brakes and the controller deserve a look before the season.

When you call, have this

  • What the pedal feels like, and any noise
  • Year, make, and model
  • Whether a warning light is on

Questions people ask

How much does a brake job cost?
Labor is the hourly rate and most axles take an hour to an hour and a half. Pads and rotors are at our cost, which varies by vehicle; we quote the parts before ordering.
My brakes smell after driving down the hill. Is that normal?
Once, after a long descent, maybe. Every time, no. That is glazed pads or a sticking caliper. Downshift on the grade and have us look before the rotors warp.
Can you do brakes at a cabin with no power?
Yes. Everything we need runs off the truck. We need a level spot and room to open the doors.
