Most of what a shop does to a car can be done on gravel with the right tools and a flat spot. You pay for the hours and the parts and nothing else.
$35/hr per hour plus parts · Prices are the floor. We set a fair number with you.
Alternators, starters, belts, hoses, water pumps, thermostats, radiators, batteries, sensors, brakes, wheel bearings, suspension, exhaust patches, and most anything that does not need a lift or a press. We tell you up front what we cannot do in a driveway and what it will cost at a shop.
Parts come at what we paid. You can buy them yourself and we will fit them, with the honest note that a part that fails under warranty is then between you and the store. We can order through the parts fund for people who need a car running and cannot cover a part this week.
An hour is an hour. We do not round a forty-minute job to two. Diagnostic time is billed the same as wrench time, and if we cannot find it we say so.
